security and keyless entry

i have a 97 trans am that has the keyless entry and security on it and i want install these two things into my 94 trans am. How do i go about removing it from the 97 and what components do i need out of the 97. thanks in advance

It might be possible, but the two years use totally different control modules. It won't be plug and play. You would need wiring diagrams (and a head for reading them) for both cars to try to cobble something up.
Probably easier to go with an aftermarket product.

really? i though someone told me before that i could just unplug the remote box and plug it in my car and it would work. is that nit true?
