the car will vibrate a bit with the engine, but cars act differently depending on alot of things, like the engine.

My buddy has solid mounts in his 64 comet, and you can hardly tell, but another buddy has solid in his 5.0 and it vibrates like a mofo.

Personally if its daily driven or jsut not a track only car I wouldnt go solid unless you need it cause of hte power combo you are running... but you say sorta stock, so I would guess bolt ons at most. hardly needing solid mounts.

Why did you get solid?

The balance job on the engine has a lot to do with how much vibration you feel in the car. The cam and exhaust can also effect it as they deternime the resonate frequency of the engine. If the resonate frequency of the engien is close to or matches the natural frequency of the body, you will hate life. Impossible to when or if that will happen.

The way GM designed the motor mounts they are basically unbreakable, if the car is street driven I wouldn't go with solid mounts.

It'll definitely help when that motor torque up. OEM and poly bushings will compress and allow the motor to move...solid won't. Good pickup.

i heard it sucks really really bad..but then again i figure..streetable is only what a person can handle...and i can make an 8 hour drive on skinniest with open headers..so i can handle alot..(when i had my loudmouth..after the 8hour drive i was numb) but its all good...i plan on runnin that turbo up to 24psi

Hah, ain't that the truth. I've got twins that dump in front of the tire that should be up to around 20# by summer, rollin on ET Fronts & 10.5Ws and a drag-only suspension that I'll have on the street. It's only a street car b/c it's too slow to be a race car.
