do they fetch so much on ebay?!?!? I seee these things getting 100+ US no sweat, what gives?!?

I want to get one for my Trans Am since my faceplate was stolen. I've since removed my audio gear since the factory setup is fine for me.

Unless someone has one on here they're sellin :)

Its because people like me want to have a stock CD player because they look so much better. I don't think i've ever seen an aftermarket CD player that looked good in a car. They just stick out like a sore thumb.

Ya, I had a 97 SS CD Player and got $150 for it. It was mint condition as well.
I personally wouldn't pay that much for a factory radio but there are quite a few who would.

To some of us sound quality is much more important than how the dash looks.

After-market decks are MUCH more reliable than the POS factory HU too. If you read enough posts on the forum you'll see that people are always having problems with the factory HU crapping out on them.

Probably because they cost 5 times that much to get a replacement from the dealer.

I have no problem with having a factory deck...just add a subwoofer enclosure for the back and it will sound like an expensive system anyway :)
plus the lighting on my deck matches my dash lights as well..
