The new "Record" spot highlights Chevy's new "SS" (Super Sport) product line and features Cobalt SS Supercharged, Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS, TrailBlazer SS, SSR and Silverado SS. The spot opens on a tight shot of traffic. Suddenly, we see a black Chevy SS ... then another. As the camera pans up, we discover that we're looking at a traffic circle. More black Chevy SS vehicles enter the circle as the other vehicles exit. The vehicles continue to enter until the circle is completely filled with black Chevy SS vehicles. Next, a crane swings its boom over the traffic circle's edge. As the camera rises up to a bird's-eye view, we discover that the Chevys have created a vinyl music record, with the crane forming the "needle."

Is the Monte SS and Impala SS the new V8 '06's?

Once the Silverado get the LS2 the whole line up will finally be worthy of the SS badge. Some how it still doesn't seem complete without the flagship SS, the Camaro SS

No so crazy about the rear ( lowered ) stance, but it is pretty agressive looking.

Speaking of Colorados - ala one of the above posts - I drove one at the AutoShow in Motion that was a black extended cab, and it appeared to be lowered.

Nice looking rig, great interior, just needed more power. Hmmm ....

Wow, the SS lineup is such crap compared to what it was in the 60's LOL.

Two heavy ass trucks..two front driver sedans..n domestic-import and the SSR.

Should be a good commercial since GM has been doing well as of late..but damn..what has the SS name come to!

Cobalt SS = low 14's faster than any import FWD pocket rocket
Impala SS = the 240HP S/C SS in the fastest Impala EVER! 303HP LS4 Impala will be even faster.
Monte SS = see Impala SS
Trailblazer SS = 400HP LS2, what is not to like?? this will be a 13 sec. ride that can Tow a boat.
SSR = As fast as a lightning, with a mod or two it should be quicker than the heavier SRT-10.
Silverado SS = mid/high 14's are respectable, but this is more of a lux truck. dump the LT package for the LS package and add the LS2 or 6.2L L92 it this truck will be perfect :thumb:

Todays SS lineup is the fastest EVER!!!, Like I said before, it just needs a Camaro SS for it's flagship.

I would like a RWD car...IMO that is not all that hard to ask for..RWD is key. I already bought a 300c and THAT is the type of car GM should be trying to do..V-8..RWD.

Hehehehe...couldn't have said it better. I'd like to remind everyone of all the I6 Nova SSs produced in the early 60s, and of all the 283 Impala and station wagon SSs producted as well. People really don't seem to understand SS was not nearly as exclusive as people seem to think it was.
