96camaroz28lt4 02-10-2005, 06:29 PM I am having bad traction problems. I have new transmission mount and the torsion bar is nice and tite and it's just when I launch or take off hard the car will spin at first then after it spins I guess it tries to hook up but all it does is just bounce the back tires really bad and it shakes the whole car. Any suggestions?
jchevy 02-10-2005, 06:44 PM Its wheel hop from the car being dropped 3". Not sure how to fix it. Maybe LCA's?
1racerdude 02-10-2005, 07:04 PM Weld anti-squat brackets on rear end at LCA mounting point.
redcamaroz28 02-10-2005, 11:32 PM Get the LCA relocation brackets welded in. Also some subframes might help a little.
96camaroz28lt4 02-11-2005, 12:40 AM So what exactly do I need, any links?
1racerdude 02-11-2005, 12:55 AM No--- All you need is the brackets and get them welded on.
You can get them from Thunder Racing,Global West,Moser, or any good suspension maker.
96camaroz28lt4 02-11-2005, 12:59 AM Alright I found some tubular Pro-Fab LCA's but will they bolt up? Or will I need brackets, if I need brackets then where can I find them.

You can run the factory LCA's. All you need is the brackets.
Go to Global West sight and get an idea what they are. Anti-Squat brackets.
96camaroz28lt4 02-11-2005, 01:09 AM what's the site and where exactly do they relocate to?
1racerdude 02-11-2005, 01:14 AM The brackets weld to the ones the LCA's are in now. They extend down to regain the angle on the LCA's when you lowered the car. They should be pointed up in the front and bet yours ain't.
See previous post on sights.
96camaroz28lt4 02-11-2005, 01:18 AM But there's no link you just say Global west site... so is that globalwest.com or what? So it should be pointed at an agle like facing up then the rear down?
96camaroz28lt4 02-11-2005, 01:30 AM http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7952639737&category=33583 I found some but they are 59.95 Is that a good price. I was wondering why would you lower the back of the control arm. Wouldn't that cause it to bounce more and would this lower the axle? I don't see how it straighten the axles up.
1racerdude 02-11-2005, 01:43 AM That's a good price.
Your suspension geometry in the back is all out of wack. Look at a stock one and see. It is to complicated to explain the angles and how one angle has to coincide with the torque arm to get the instant center right. The LCA angle has to work with the TA angle to get you there. If the LCA's are pointed down in the front that won't work. A projected line of the angle of the LCA's has to intersect the TA and with the front level or pointed down they never do.
They don't straighten anything up they change the angle from front down to front up on the LCA's.
96camaroz28lt4 02-11-2005, 02:18 AM Well it says that if you lower your car the rearend sits higher than you TA and if you use these it will even them out and that's what I meant by lowering the rear.

OooooK
phinger23 02-11-2005, 10:58 PM i get this problem myself...im running STOCK suspension....and i mean 135K mile stock suspension :( lol
if you get a new suspension setup, but not a lowering one, just a high quality OEM height replacement, would you need LCA relocation brackets to stop that somewhat?
1racerdude 02-11-2005, 11:08 PM Depending on your HP & gear. If you are running less than 400RWHP and an auto, probably not. A stick car always needs them and changes to the TA to match.
Got some down here running 1.33 60' on 10" tires on a trans brake But they have TA & LCA brackets.
