I have a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors on my 02 WS-6. I am still running the stock pads, and though it may sound strange I do not think that the stock pads are heating up the rotors in a uniform manner. Reason I say this is that the rotors warp if I drive the car normally, but if I really do some hard braking the warpping seems to go away. Anyway I used Perfomance Friction Carbon Metallics on my 95 TA, but it seems they do not make a set for the 02. Any reccomendations. I hear good things about HAWK.

If the rotors are warped, driving the car hard will not make it go away. Using the brakes hard will make a warped rotor temporarly straighten out under the above average braking forces. But as soon as you apply the brakes lightly you will feel the warp agian.
Also, if the rotors are warped, most shops won't cut them because they will destroy the lathe cutting head. Don't buy cheap crossdrilled rotors, they will warp and crack everytime.

You may just be leaving pad material on the rotor, which many times feels like warping. If it goes away with heavy braking, then that could be your culprit.
I recommend Hawk HPS pads. They get good reviews on the street.

Thanks, their a bit pricy compared to the VGX, and they look to be the same quality product, can anyone swing one way or the other?
