Speed2Much 02-09-2005, 11:02 PM I have a growing list of people's email address for around April when it starts getting nice again and the track opens. We are going to be going up to DW42 alot and I would like to hit Norwalk and I think there is a place in Youngstown too. If your interested in getting an email when we all go cruising or head to the track let me know! Its always fun just to get a huge train of F-Body's and cruise around or pull into the drag strip in a pack :D
Bersaglieri 02-10-2005, 09:10 AM I am from the Salem-Youngstown Area as you already know. The track around here is Quaker City Raceway www.quakercityraceway.com . I havent been to any other track but my friend says its a bit better than 42 but not as good as Norwalk. Let me know.

Speed2Much 02-10-2005, 11:43 AM i will definately let ya know! i am going to get my car dyno tuned before they open. I need to get some relocation brackets too, i just got the car and put everything into rebuilding the top end of the engine hehe. The suspension is still stock and the guy before me lowered it so definately need those relocation brackets and control arms and that kind of stuff. I am kind of scared to put slicks on it cuz the rear end is stock except for the 3.73's. Maybe I can find a bigger rear end before April too
JSkeet 02-10-2005, 01:15 PM I might be selling the Camaro, and im brand new to the area. here's a link you should check them out. www.neofb.com they are the North Eastern Ohio F-Body
RacerTim 02-10-2005, 02:22 PM Get on www.youngstownstreets.com and post about it. We have a bunch of f-bodys on there (no particular reason why), but it definately sounds like a good plan.

SSmoked 02-15-2005, 12:37 AM How much does it usually cost for a dyno tune? Not just from the place you mentioned but the basic going rate?
MunsonGTA 02-15-2005, 11:14 AM The usual going rate is 350-450 dollars for a dyno tune. We only charge 250 and if you go through me you will get a discount of 10%, which drops it to 225.

MunsonGTA 02-17-2005, 12:00 AM We do very good work, thanks for the compliments. I've yet to hear one complaint from anybody that has used one of our chips. And by some chance if you do have a complaint, we will fix it to the best of our ability until you are happy. If you still aren't happy you will get a refund of your money. We stand behind our work 100%.

rickyzZ28 03-10-2005, 11:17 PM Let me know I am in for some track days. rickyzZ28@hotmail.com
Also Grease did you happen to see the 604 whp Civic that a buddy of mine and I built up there about 2 months ago?
gmr speed 03-10-2005, 11:58 PM Hey lou ( speed2much ) hows the car going? Hope you like it. Let me know when you need more stuff done. Hopefully the weather brakes and we can get that dynoed. My car is almost done.
DarkHorse 03-11-2005, 10:32 AM I heard about that Civic - pretty wicked.
CANTONRACER 03-11-2005, 10:53 AM I was there when it dynoed...interesting..but what a hoopty that stout little motor was stuffed in.
I personally think they could have hit 700 @ the wheels if they had all the bugs worked out.

No, I wasn't there that day, I saw the dyno charts the next day. AFAIK that the most powerful import car we've had there.
MunsonGTA 03-14-2005, 05:41 PM i was there right after it dyno'd and they had left, heard it was a pretty badass ride except for the body

jer4251 03-16-2005, 11:16 PM This is for the guys who work at Big Shot Dyno. I have a few different mods done to my 97 SS and have a OBD1 conversion from madz28.com. is there much more to tuning my car than what i already have? It still feels like i have some kinks to work out somewhere. and i still feel i should be making more power to the rear wheels. I live right outside of youngstown and would like more info on having my car dyno tuned up at your place. the deal wouldnt hurt either :D ,
I have a quick question, after i had my car tuned with the OBD1( at the time i had ported MAF ends) and it was tuned for them. since then i bought a granatelli MAF and i kept getting an engine code every so ofter after the car would stumble while driving. I called the co. and they said it was probibly caused by the computer change i did. so now i have it tuned for the ported ends, but im driving with a completely stock MAF. have you ever delt with anything like that? should i contact the guy at madz28 and ask him about it? I'm sitting here with a $320 part i cant use.
thanks
jerry

You can use Tunercat to tune the car - you would need the program and an aldl connector to do this.
I helped tune Grease's car on the dyno and we picked up about 20 rwhp over the base PCMForLess tune. I'm going back up there hopefully tomorrow to fine tune my car - i'm no expert but i'm a learner and have to do things hands on. There's guys out there that can do a MUCH better job at tuning for things like part throttle driving and such but since I work on computers for a living there's no way in hell I would let someone else tune my car. I'd much rather make mistakes and learn to do it myself.
If your not interested in learning then I'd recommend you contact Keith @ Big Shot and he can get Jamy from LSRacingchips involved, he'll tune the crap out of it.
Good luck!

You should contact madz28 and tell him to make a change to your pcm for the granatelli maf sensor. The Granatelli maf sensor was designed to be a true bolt on with no pcm changes required. Its designed for the stock maf tables. So when you have a pcm tuned for a ported maf then you run a granatelli maf it could throw you drivability way off.
If you have a cable to hook your car up to a laptop, there is a freeware program called MAF20. Basically it adds 20% to you MAF tables values if you have a ported MAF. It will also do the opposite and take away 20% from you maf tables if you go back to a stock sensor. You don't need Tunercats or LT1edit to make the changes. Just a way of getting your bin or lt1 file.
MunsonGTA 03-20-2005, 10:57 AM If you're interested in one of our lsracingchips tunes then check out our website. www.lsracingchips.com
i'll show jamy your post and see what he says about your setup.
