IMO, Konis are the best. I guess it might vary slightly on your application, but my opinion still won't change.

A search using the Advance Search option on "best shocks", titles only, suspension forum only, returned 55 hits!

What do you want to do with the car? Street, strip, autox, RR, all of the above? Will you change springs, bars, lower the car?

Figure out what you want to do with the car first. A set of revalved Bilsteins (or even off-the-shelf Bilsteins?) may work too, and less $ than Koni's. The Bilstein isn't adjustable, but it is a monotube...
