Got silicone crap all over my fiancee's car and part of my car

Apparently I forgot or didn't think to wash the silicone tire crap that they put on from the dealership to make a new car's tires look like glazed donuts right off the showroom floor, because a little while ago I was washing my fiancee's 4Runner for the 3rd time ever and assumed that one of the past 2 times I had done so. Nope... I mistakenly used the same wash mit on her tires as I used on her glass/paint and even started on my car too... now we both have little streaks of silicone crap all over the car and man that stuff does NOT like to come off without scrubbing, otherwise it just smears.

I wonder if I just leave it on the paint for a week or two if it'll eventually wear off? It obviously stuck to the tires for a couple of months.

Or I might have to break out the claybar.

What do you suggest? Will just a dawn and rewax take care of it or do I need to clay or should I just wait a couple of weeks and see if it comes off?

Dawn and rewax should do the trick.

That's rough...but again dish soap/wax oughta do it, maybe some cleaner wax first too

Dishsoap can be harsh on a clearcoat, but a rewax should take care of that.

Use a paint cleaner, not dishwashing liquid. Leave it in the kitchen.

Re-wax afterwards and you should be fine.

Also, next time inspect the mitt before it touches each panel.
