Easier to blame the consumers, though.

Re: Bonnie gone, what's replacing it?
I don't think the Bonneville was too underpowered.. there was a 275 hp version out there.. and I think the 2005 gxp ver looks nice.. but overall, its time for a complete refresh.. I bet they'll replace it with one of those brand new global platforms.
Re: Bonnie gone, what's replacing it?
I think they could have sold a lot more Bonivelles if:
1. They had a better interior from the start.
2. They offered the Northstar V8 from the start.
3. They offered the cleaned up exterior on the 2004 from the start.
Once again GM kills something right when it got interesting, but hopefully the new Pontiac Zeta sedan will be a whole lot more interesting

Re: Bonnie gone, what's replacing it?
The Bonneville is going away because it was not kept up with market trends . If pontiac was ready for the LX cars which are large full size cars , the bonnie would not be getting stuffed . The 04-05's with the GXP or SLE package without all the ribs and stuff are really cool looing cars for a large sedan , IMO the interior absolutely kills it though ....it is absolutely aztek hideous with all the blobs of vents and odd shapes .
Current style and the old Aurora interior with pontiac guages and backlighting and this car would have been alot more sucessfull IMO .

Re: Bonnie gone, what's replacing it?
The passing of the Bonneville isn't exactly news - at least to me. In the end, the Bonneville was another big, bland, high-depreciation fleet unit. Even the GXP was just a repeat of the same formula as the Oldsmobile Aurora. It was time for the Bonne to go.

Sorry, Ill take the 400hp RWD sedan over the Pontiac DTS, thanks.
Hmmmmm...... shot in the dark here. With the obvious trend leaning back to rear wheel drive, and with Chrysler's success with the 300c and Magnum models............Get a 4-door Holden Manaro to coincide with the 2-door GTO and call it "Tempest".
Or make a big fat car like the DCX cars and call it Catalina.

When they introduced the current Bonieville back in 2000. Or maybe it was 1999. Its too late and I can't remember. I need some sleep now.
