In a 1969 camaro what would be the best way for the subs to face? should they face towards you or towards the back? or should i set them face up? and how much would sound be affected if i had them facing each other but on opposite sides of the trunk? i have two 10" Audiobahn's thanks for any help.

I'm not familiar with the layout of that body, but the general rule is that you will gain more SPL (aka louder bass) by facing them backwards. I had two 12inch subs firing towards eachother on each side of a 4th gen body, and it hit pretty well, though I didn't much like the sound of the bass. I do believe a lot of the bad sound though was because the subs weren't quite properly matched to the boxes I had them in.

...face them firing back into the trunk...this will give more resonance room and give you tighter, more responive bass curve, not to mention louder bass. You will also get less distortion as well. This gives the sound wave more time/room to expand and be true to the sound of the signal!
Take care,
Tim :)

I agree with the above statements.
