I can for sure tell that you were spinning like a mother off the line do to your 107mph trap speed. I would be interested to know what your 60ft time was if u have it.

obviously you are having a problem with your launching...your trying to launch way to hard. a friend of mine was doing the same thing with his 04 mach 1 once he got the launching down he cut a half second of his 1/4 times

i went through my time slips and found my best 60 foot all nightwas a 2.3, but the average was 2.6
i tried just driving like from a stoplight and then gassing it to get the 2.3

i think slicks and the ford 8.8 rear end are in my very next few weeks future....

wow, thats odd, do you have the hotcam in there? 107 seams pretty fast for bolt ons.

hot cam isn't in there yet. i thought it seemed fast too. that and on all of my other slips my traps were right around 101 to 102 area

yea, sometimes the trap calculations get messed up, maybe it was 102

so....are these times to be expected with that 60foot at 130000 miles, or is something like the original opti  gone out

my z has 128,300 miles on it and i go 2.1 flat 60 foot. i think tires may be an issue for you. i dont have all that great of tires but it doesnt seem to bother my car all that much. its probably the gears that are hurting you

maybe my flaken azenis with 30k miles of wear on them were a culprit, i would think my car can trap faster maybe my opti, which is the original with the car is going bad? i don't know, new rear end and slicks will tell me

Numbers sound pretty good for bolt-ons. My car was running consitent 106 traps in the dead of summer with just headers and a CAI. Best e.t. was a 13.2 on a 2.1 60'.

I never really fully understood what all goes into trap speed.......all i know as the 60 goes down so does the trap speeds--as show by all my runs.

were you not doing a burn out or what? Far as the sixty and trap, it didnt hurt me mucch, on that 1.86 pass the 1/8 trap was 79, on the 2.1 1.4 pass the trap through the 1/8 was 80 but better air helped a lot on the MPH

i did a burnout, i just think using these economy style tires was a bad idea

my times are in sig... its 97 with m6 and listed boltons (all except the knock module and loudmouth)

car had 100k on it when i pulled these, however she was misfiring over 4k-

so your times seem right for what you have and your 60'

Yeah id say your roasting your tires when you launch and shift. I ran a 14.12 with an M6 with Flowmaster Exhaust, Moroso Induction, throttle body foil, Hurst Shifter, and a Harlan shift light. That trap speed also is a speed you see out of cars in the low 13's.
