97TransAm 02-03-2005, 11:33 AM Anyone have the link to the form that I can download and fill out in order to renew my track number at Englishtown? I have looked over the website, www.racewaypark.com (http://www.racewaypark.com/), but I cannot locate it. The $3 and form is due to the track by Feb 9th and I have not recieved mine in the snail mail yet.
Thanks.
97TransAm 02-03-2005, 02:50 PM Hey ron, I found it for ya;

1SlowFormula 02-03-2005, 03:15 PM Has anyone told you that talking to your self is bad? People might think your a little crazy! Glad to se you were able to help yourself, kinda!
kazman 02-03-2005, 04:26 PM The funny part is that he sent in $3 for each number on his car. A total of $12 to renew. :D :D :D No wait its more. The numbers are on the side and front window. So that $24 to renew. :p
Ron is talking to himself again because he didn't send in the money for somebody to be his friend for the 2005 season  .
Projectz28 02-03-2005, 04:31 PM Yeah I dont think I renewed my number last year and I just use it everywhere I go. They never said anything to me about it. Is it really necssary to renwe your number?
Maybe I should think about getting an NHRA number...
Maybe we should ask Ron what he thinks? Hey Ron, would you ask Ron what he thinks for me?
1SlowFormula 02-03-2005, 05:07 PM So I went to look at the site that ron showed and don't really understand the whole number thing anyway? Is this for a year long competition or something? Sorry I am just this year not using my car as a daily driver and I have never been to E-town! I always go to Cecil, unless there was an outing to somewhere else, I have been on the EFA board for a few years and they have had things at MIR that I have been to.. I grew up in MD, so I am not familiar with this area too much, plus I have heard bad things about E-town like thy don't let you run with cutouts! And that is my biggest power maker right now! :D
97TransAm 02-03-2005, 05:16 PM sssshhhhh, Jim. I trying to get that past Carol
$6 for the front and back 4's, $12 for all the 0's... I'll be up $21 for a case of beer!!!
Ron say's that for the most part, the number's probably don't need to be renewed for us "once a month / trophy marathon pukes", but I do so because it's "insurance" that I'll keep the same number. I think if you had a real car with a parachute, then it might be important to renew.
What's three bucks anyway... I spend that easily on drive shaft grease.
97TransAm 02-03-2005, 05:22 PM John...
I go to E-town the most. You don't need a number to go to the track. When you show up they write one on the window. It's just that I got tired of the shoe polish flecks all over the car's black paint, so I bought a perm number and then got vinyl numbers to match. It greatly helped keep the car clean. But then I have to make a point to renew the same number so that I don't have to redo the vinyl decals.
Then you have Brian who just shows up with non-renewed numbers on his window... so his point is it probably doesn't matter... as long as two cars on the track on the same day don't have the same number, if you know what I mean.
97TransAm 02-03-2005, 05:28 PM Ron is talking to himself again because he didn't send in the money for somebody to be his friend for the 2005 season  .
I'm waiting for Brian to feel the pinch of being "just married" and needs some cash again. He's not as choosey when his broke.
Quick question...
On the form that was posted it says that for Saturday High School 1/4 mi track points there is no charge...does that mean if you have a number it costs nothing to race?
Projectz28 02-03-2005, 09:15 PM No you still have to pay to race, but I guess if you run in the high school series then you dont "buy" a number.
If you run in the points programs at E-town they make you buy a number. If you just run the ocasional trophy marathon and efi events you dont have to. Or you can just show up and if they ask if you have a permanant number just say yes its on the car like I do;).
kazman 02-03-2005, 09:57 PM I only went to RP a couple of times last year. I was never asked about a number. I just let tech put a number on my car and tried to act like a newbee. Maybe it was a bad idea 'cause at times I drove like a newbee. :o
97TransAm 02-03-2005, 11:01 PM I think I got .2 having a perm number.
1SlowFormula 02-04-2005, 08:11 AM .2 just off of vinyl, that sounds pretty rice to me! :D
So is it true that E-town doesn't like people running cutouts? or loud exhaust at all?

WARNING: I just put on my NHRA sticker ...worth 150HP :alert:
E-town has very nasty neighbors so they have to enforce the noise restriction. They don't allow cutouts. If you go thur tech closed then deside to open it up they will toss you out after a "loud" pass. E-town does have special "noise" days which open exhaust is allowed.
Speaking of rice, anybody going to show up Saturday March 5th for the Street War race (rice vs USA race). I'll be down with the slow quiet ragtop running in the 14 second bracket. Teal car is a bit tooooo noisy ;)
97TransAm 02-04-2005, 10:20 AM You know that I'm allergic to the "it's going to BLOW!!!" over-reved lawn mower engines. Thank goodness someone had an epi-pen that one year.
Besides, I'm still trying to locate my windshield sprayers on the hood so that I can put colored lights in them... I won't be much for competition without them.
1SlowFormula 02-04-2005, 10:38 AM I will probably just drive down to Cecil, it only an hour or so away and I don't have to worry about exhaust, I loose on average .4 when I cap the cutout and I just don't like going slower then I know it could go.
97TransAm 02-04-2005, 10:43 AM Never been to Cecil. I like to go down sometime if there's a group from here going. You know, to show me around...
"There's the restrooms, there's the parking lot... good luck"
1SlowFormula 02-04-2005, 10:52 AM Where is Chalfont, I uess I could look it up but I am feeling lazy today!
Maybe when the weather gets better we could try to do something like that, the problem with Cecil is if you go in the evening Wed or Fri there are a couple hundred people there, a lot of rice and what not. so you might get 3 or so runs in if you are lucky, but hell you don't have to worry about cool down because you have to wait about 45 minutes to and hour between runs. But, I just figured it was like that everywhere.

Cecil is pretty small. When you pull in you are next to the track, look left and there are the restrooms. look right and there is the starting line. look back and there are trees, look straight ahead and... uim there are more trees. Thats about all there is to it;)
Jim, at the rate I am going my car wont be done my March. Probably wont be ready till later in the month and possibly April...
I really got to get my butt out there and get to work!
97TransAm 02-04-2005, 11:08 PM Where is Chalfont
turnpike to fort Washington. Rt309 North, make a right onto rt202, couple of miles up. Not too far from Doylestown.
I can't do a track mid-week. Well, unless we rent the track for the day and I'll take off from work. Saturdays work best for me.
Thanks Bri!!! Can you email me the burning rubber smell to complete the "experience"?

Teal car will be droped off at Rapid this Monday for a full week of work. Breaking out the CC card again  Hope to be at ATCO next Sunday breaking into the 10's. Not a lot of mods, engine install and a "Mikey" weight loss plan. Well if a LT1 stroker install isn't considered a major mod. :D
