Sorry, but I think this goes a bit beyond the old "you get what you pay for" adage.

Damn, that is crazy. Must be intended for the dumb rich people who thinks the more you pay the better the quality is.

At least it's a lifetime supply so you can own a detail shop and use it up as you wish??

There was a post about this before. For 1600$ you get your own crystal case, and free refilling for life. So when you think about it, if you wax your car enough it would probably pay for its self.

Will never ever, ever be worth that price. NO wax/sealant is.

Obviously not a instant profit, but considering its a LIFETIME supply.. Hell, me at 17 could buy that, and continue to refill that wax for another 40 years..I personally think that 1600$ would be worth that.

The people that have the money to waste on that don't waste their time waxing their own car!

EDIT - The one Jason posted has lifetime refills, but the Atlantique is almost $900, and it DOESN'T have free lifetime refills. Ouch!

Well.....that price is crazy. However, I am a Zymol user, and I have to admit that their wax is quite different than most carnaubas on the market. It is the ONLY carnauba that I will use for car #1.

I wish that I had that kind of disposable cash to spend on wax (scruw the wax, just give me the money!), but for now I'll have to be satisfied with the Zymol that I can afford. To each his or her own.

The only true way that anyone will be able to determine its effectiveness is to actually buy it and use it. Although I can't afford that brand of Zymol, my adage still remains..."If you've got it, flaunt it!"

I think I'm going to try their Porsche-only estate wax as a topper. I'm curious to see how it turns out.

Hey I could buy that and then start my own business selling "$1600 wax" to people for say $50 per container full... just keeping getting refills.

Almost definitely a load of crap. There's nothing unique about Porsche's paint. At least certainly not unique in the context that it would benefit from some 'special'/'custom' design of wax. Same place I believe marketed a special "NSX Glaze" that works similar to the stuff in Jason's link (warm in the palm of your hand). Did a side by side comparison test and it got its ass kicked in terms of durability and looks by Zaino among others, even though it cost many times as much and was much harder to use.

You can't compare waxes just by other published tests. The real acid test must come from your own live comparison. I have seen countless times a product that received accolades, from just about everyone and their mother, fail in a real life comparison against a proven product (including my own experience with a certain synthetic endorsed by 3/4ths of the camaro/firebird community).

Your trial and error experiences will ultimately serve as the basis for you in finding the best product for your money. It certainly proved that way for me.

For $1600 bucks I think I'll rely on the reports.:D

I'm well aware that it isn't anything special but I'm just curious to see how it compares to Meguiar's Pro #16 which looks fantastic on the silver metallic paint.

I don't particularly care for the synthetic look of Zaino and prefer the wet look of a true carnauba as a topper.

With a black car, one has to be picky about waxes. I am. With a lighter car, waxes aren't too different.

From personal experience, I'd recommend that you should try one of Zymol's estate waxes (even if it hurts the wallet). You will not look back; I guarantee it. We are talking about a real waxed shine when it comes to Zymol.

Entertain yourself by doing some comparisons. Meg's might compare somewhat to a zymol, but maybe a better comparison could be found between zymol, pinnacle and p21s. The Zymol blew them away to me, but try them and see what you come up with.

......Which is why Zymol is going down the drain soon.

If you try the buy-it-sell-it-refill-it-and-repeat method, you WILL get sued.

So they've gotten wise huh. They must have gotten a lot of refills. I'll bet you will even get a little statement about not passing on the lifetime refills. Oh well...

I hope they stay exactly where they are. As I've said before......I will not use anything else!

But 1700??? Damn even I'm mad at that price!!
