lookout for the blue saturn!!! ;)

well, this story has been building for quite some time. Well, if anyone can relate, I'm up here in Northern indiana. Granger to be excact. Last November, before my car was in storage, i was crusing along on my home from dinner on SR 23. I'm going about 45mph in 6th as i approach the light. the light turns green so rather than hit the brakes, i swing into the small merging lane to pass people who are turning left at the light. well, as i approached, this saturn was really getting into it off the light. i had no choice but to cut him off because the lane merged back into one rather quickly. understandably angry, he was riding my bumper for a good bit, untill traffic was clear. when it cleared, he jumped out to pass me and blew me by. Then he slammed on the brakes and swerved onto the shoulder. After almost hitting him from the slamming on the brakes thing, i was not sure if he was going to shoot me or what, so i slowed and kept rolling until i heard him rev. i then stopped. he pulled up and revved again. i didn't rev, but rather left two big lines of black along the road until reaching 3rd. i ended up back in front of him as we rolled up to the next light which was now 2 lanes again. i gave him a rev and he just looked back at me with his due rag on and his rap going and ignored me. my understanding is that he thought i was a v6 since i was not running any tips at the time and i was in 6th when i passed him making no noise whatsoever. he tucked tail once he knew it was a z28. by the way, this was a blue saturn with rims and no exhaust. smaller family looking car. nothing fast, but this guy thought it was. since then, he's tried to race my '96 2wd full size 4.3 pickup, my step brothers jeep cherokee, and a few others i've heard of in my area. all using the same tactics. riding the bumper, then slamming on the breaks in the shoulder or passing lane. sad part was that my step brothers 4wd i-6 cherokee beat him for the first 30mph. this punk is getting to be popular here in town :rolleyes:

Did i read that right? He cut you off and slammed on his breaks in front of you?? Since I got a bigger cam and the brakes use the vacuum from it I can tell a huge difference, specially if I have been driving for awhile. Its not like it was when it was stock trying to stop. I always worry about someone trying to slam on their brakes in front of me like that. I got some crossed drilled rotors but the next thing on my list is some nice wilwoods for people like that :blah:
