I'm not sure what year they were offered but i'm looking for specs on the rims that came on the 97 Camaro SS that are the ZR-1 style. i'm picking up a set for a pretty good price and need to know what size tires I can put on them.

I wish I could find a car like mine that had them on there so I can see what it will look like

The best I can do is the picture in my signature, but my car is white. It is T-Tops though.

those do look good on a white car. Are you using 275? If so, any pics of them showing the width?

Yes, they are 275's. Let me see what I can find... will get back to ya.

Here are a couple more pics:
I had 245/50-16 tires on my stock rims. Here they are compared to the 275/40-17's:

275/40/17 is definitely the best tire (IMO) for that wheel as it is basically the same overall diameter as the stocker plus it fits on the wheel nicely. However, I don't think I'd say it is the biggest you can do. There are plenty of guys out there running a 285 width on a 9" wheel with no problems. Heck, while not recommended, some people run 315s on 9.5" wheels

Not really... less than 1/2" wider than a 275 :)

so could I be safe putting 285's all the way around?

I'd stick with 275s on a 9 inch wheel. That is the tire size GM specified for Camaros with thaose wheels. Sure you can put a wider tire on that size rim but tires are engineered to fit on correct size wheels. Varying from the proper size will detract from the tire's performance and longevity.
