Well, he got the money and then dropped off the face of the earth, no email or phone replys.

I went ahead and disputed with paypal, and my credit card......just a heads up that we have another dis-honest member

His only excuse he gave me a few days after he got the money was that he had a court case for his client in the morning, and his secretary forgot to ship them??

Maybe he is in the pokey? It sounded like he was saying he was a lawyer or something though......

 

People die man... think about it. It is possible he was killed by a tractor trailer that ran a light while he was turning into the UPS store or something. I often wondered about that kind of stuff on Ebay. thats why i preffer to pay and pick up expensive stuff in person.

 

So let me get this straight. This guy made a huge deal over 20 bucks and all that talk about internet fruad. Then he went and scammed YOU???? That is very scandalous.

 

I've been calling nonstop about 10 times a day at all hours, and its a consistent no answer. Would anyone else be willing to give it a shot and see if he at least picks up?

Sorry about this. Hope the guy comes through on his end. A side story. I have a friend who sells high end home audio equipment. A guy contacted him and arranged to purchase a large order of electronics. My friend always installs and gives operating instructions. The night before he was to drive 300 miles to do the set-up, he tries to call the guy and can't reach him. He drives to the guys house and there is no answer. The guy told him he might be out back. So my guy goes around and finds the door open and goes in. Finds the guy sitting on the couch dead. Probably a heart attack. So he spends the day with detectives, and to show how nice a guy he is, he got the manufacture to accept the equipment back and credited the guy's credit card for the total.

 

Well.............. he's not dead or he wouldn't have logged on to the board yeaterday.

Scammers suck, I had a funny feeling about that thread.

 

Good call joe! He has not responded to paypal, and if he does not the money gets yanked on monday. If all else fails my Credit Card said call them back if paypal has no luck.
