I have done some reading and some say this is a good road race tire and others say it is not....
Do these tires have a stiff enough sidewall to do some fast cornering? they are 315/35/17s

They make a road race version of the tire as well.

Edit, they don't make the 315 anymore, just 275.

If your talking about the 555 R. I just got on the nitto website. www.nittotire.com and they still had 315/35/r17. I will hope they still carry these as these are the only type of tire I will ever put on the back of my car.

The 555RII is the tire I'm talking about.

The drag radial is still being made. :)

I have the 555RII's on my 17x9.5" ZR1's and they have a really stiff sidewall which results in a rougher ride on teh street. They take a few miles to warm up if it is cold outside and then they start to grip pretty decent.
