i'd be cautious....

anyway...the stock (or even ported) GM tpi will not be able to flow enough air to feed a 450hp 383...

you'll need a superram at least, and that may even choke it a little.

just a thought

Although the engine you get might be worth the money, it is very doubtful it would produce the numbers they quote.

Note they're using a two-piece rear main crank, at least in the picture - most likely you won't get the engine in the picture. They don't give specs for the cam or heads. I personally don't think much of balancing an engine w/damper and plate.

I'd call first and get the specs for everything, including cam p/n's, block & head casting #'s, and a dyno sheet with exact dyno set-up (I'd guess they haven't dyno'd, and if they did, it was with a carb and long tube headers).

Good Advice.

Find out if the crank is cast / forged (likely cast) and what type of pistons and rods are used. Chances are this engine will not be set up for higher RPM's or nitrous (if those are in your plans)

Teke's right about the TPI base. You'd probably want to go carb or aftermarket FI (HSR, SR, MR) with that displacement.
