What would happen to the engine if the spark plug gap was completly closed?

That cly. would not fire whatso ever. And if the plug got mash flat while still in the engine you have some bigger issuses to figure out internaly.

i'm gettin NGK tr55's....what gap should i get? this is for a 97 formula.

I have the tr55's and I gaped them to .055.
