I brought the car out for some testing at a local track and with some less than great track conditions I got my ole LT1 to run 10.64@129mph. The 60's were pretty bad ranging from 1.60-1.68 spinning quite a bit. The car normally 60's high 1.5's on motor so if I can get it to hook up and run 1.40's on n2o the car should run low 10's on the 150 shot. I plan on putting my hybrid 8.8" rear next week with some 3.55 gears in it and plan on heading to a different track. The only bad part is the car isn't legal to run faster than 11.50's. Maybe I'll get to make a few good passes before they run me out. I made 4 passes altogether and here is how they went.
1.68 60'
7.088 1/8th
10.92@127.5mph first pass spun pretty bad.
1.65 60'
7.00 1/8th
10.78@128mph
1.63 60'
6.88 1/8th
10.72@128mph
1.60 60'
6.80 1/8th
10.64@129mph fresh bottle! :D I am hoping to go low 10's on the 150shot with a real good launch and then I plan on spraying 200 on it. Later Clint

whats your NA timing? and how (if you do) do you pull timing on spray?

I don't remember what the timing is set at but I got the tune from Brent's site and just put it in my PCM but it's somewhere in the high 30's when i looked at it. I don't pull any timing I usually just mix 5 gallons of 110octane with a 1/4 tank of pump gas and run it like that. This time I had put 5 gallons on an empty tank last weekend but I only got to make one pass before blowing a header gasket so I filled the car up with pump gas and I ended up running it just like that with no signs of detonation on the plugs. NX doesn't reccomend pulling timing so I just add a little fuel to be safe although I do plan on pulling 2-4 degrees on the 200shot or straight 110 octane. Later

Cool...Makes me feel better about that 6" rod, 12:1 compression, 847 cammed 355 I'm building. I plan on spraying a 200 shot of progressively controlled NX. How much does your car weigh?

congrats...10.3's shouldn't be out of the question with a low 1.4 60ft on the 150 shot.

Thanks guys, if the car would only 60' a little better it would run alot better but it's making major time on the other end withe those 3.42's crossing at 6500 in high gear. With a 7.088 in the 1/8th mile it shouldn't be able to run 10's in the 1/4 but it still ran 10.90's.
Frank you better be planning on pulling some timing with 12.1 or run staright C16!

LOL...I've already got an MSD digital spark retard box in the car. It's set up to pull timing only when the nitrous is activated.

Nice times Clint, do you mind posting your 1/8th mile MPH, just want to compare them to mine. What compression you running on that 355?

Thanks fellas but sorry no 1/8th mile mph at the track I was running at. I plan on making it out to another track this Saturday that hooks better and has 1/8th mile mph too. I would assume about 104-105mph in the 1/8th though b/c my car ran 97mph N/A in the 1/8th. Later Clint
