Egr And Air Pump RemovalBLACKBIRD8200 01-22-2005, 11:40 PM Does anyone have or know where to get instruction on the complete removal of the egr and air? i will be doing this soon and want to get everything in order. and do it right. thanks 99TransAmWS6 01-23-2005, 01:50 AM http://www.installuniversity.com/install_university/index.htm then click on "install Documents" MakoLS1 01-23-2005, 02:40 AM Its not hard. Make sure you have a 1 3/8 freeze plug for the top of the intake. I think its called the freeze lug repair kit that has a rubber seal on it that you tighten from the top and the rubber expands sealing it up really good. GM also has an EGR block off but its usually hard for the clerks to look up that part in the computer. Take of the EGR stuff plugged into the throttle body, follow all te air tubes removeing them, then under the drivers side head light there are like two pump things attatched to a metal brackes you need a 10mm socket and a long extention. You need to open that trap door from up under your car and its easy to get to. 2001NBMZ28 01-23-2005, 11:38 AM www.ls1camaro.net/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=70 Not sure of the codes that need to be deleted, I think they're P0401 thru P0419 BLACKBIRD8200 01-23-2005, 02:46 PM What do you do with the thing on the drivers side that all the air hoses go into? is this just on the 2000 year ? thanks BLACKBIRD8200 01-23-2005, 02:50 PM it on the driver's side under the cowl right above the ciols. | ||
