running nitrous line?kandied91z 01-22-2005, 06:08 PM anyone run it under the carpet? curious as to what problems, beyond obvious of leaking it would cause and if it's a bad idea? MEAN_SBC 01-22-2005, 07:08 PM A lot of people run their nitrous line under the carpet. Just be sure the hole in the firewall where it is routed is grommeted. That's the most likely place for puncture. It's not a bad idea to run it under the carpet, just use common sense... It'll be fine. :) xfreshjiv12x 01-23-2005, 07:03 AM Thats where I ran mine and there is a grommet under the computer which I put it through. Fits perfect. my94blackz 01-23-2005, 10:51 AM I ran mine under the carpet behind the backseat, And then run it out the drain plug under the back driver side bucket. Under the car i followed the brake line. kandied91z 01-23-2005, 03:25 PM min is currently outside the car but i'm moving the bottle forward and i don't want to have to replace the line... Gos2Slo 01-27-2005, 01:24 PM I ran mine through the car too, so if you look under the car you don't see any lines. I also hid my switches in the glovebox, Jacobs NMM in the dash (above the stereo) and bottle in the spare tire well. If you look anywhere but under the hood you can't see a thing! Oh, and that braided line would probably live longer passed through a hole in a firewall (no grommet) than the sheetmetal would. ;) But run it through the grommet so it's sealed better against the elements. 25THRSS 01-27-2005, 11:27 PM On my third gen I removed the charcoal canister and line. I then mounted the bottle in the back storage area and ran the nitrous line in the factory location where the vent line used to be. | ||
