Time to burn your car...I am embarrassed to say your an LT1 owner... 
Haha! Its cool. you'll get there. The LS1 may be the first, but if you can eventually match it, then who cares. Think about, who even remembers the first LS1 car that broke into the 10's? Just keep pushing, you'll get there too.

7.96 at 176. Ronnie's been working on that car like crazy, he's just lucky enough to have good weather. And open tracks help too.
Oh well, he drew first blood.... but me thinks ronnie's record won't last for long.
You haven't let anyone down Rick.... you just haven't had the chance to lay all your cards down yet. He'll feel the burn when you unleash those remaining 250 horses to the wheels. You could trap deep in the 180s, so mid 7s are possible next time out.

Rick shut the fu*ck the up, you took LT1s to a new level and will continue to do so. Its just a matter of being out spent in every single way. Be proud of what you did, you'll get 7s no doubt. The motor you went 8.3s on wasnt even that great really, nothing compared to Dukes motor. You just ran what you already had, imagine what a better bottom end and heads will do, I say 180MPH on the 106 on a meaner bottom end and better set of heads. You may need to fix the entire run out of gear deal first though. 
Any case be proud, I dont think you let any of us down. You gave us new hope to see one of our own go up against the big boys. I dont who said it but 7s is going to be hit by who ever has the most money thats all. **** the bull **** man, like Josh told Dan, you came out here and ran with the big dogs and gave it your best, be proud of that.

Yea man, I thought baxter and madman years ago maxed out the LT1...remember watching him(baxter) @ Etown running consitant low/mid 9's and thinking to myself thats the fastest LT1, you since passed them by leaps n bounds.
