small block problems

my car was running fine, but i got a radiator leak, I changed the radiator right away though. Now when i start up my car it seems to run roughly it wont keep an idle and when i step on the gas the rpms rise very slow. I dont know what could have cause this but mabey you guys could help me find out. its on my 69 camaro 350 small block. My timing was off a little bit, only a degree or 2. Thanks!

Re: small block problems

if it got hot first it sounds like a head gasket do you have any smoke coming out of the exhaust.

Re: small block problems

If you smell gas, sounds like trash in your needles causing engine to run rich. Or a stuck choke.

Re: small block problems

after lots of troubleshooting i found out that i blew the points in my distributor, so i went ahead and bought an msd setup with a street distributor, msd 6al, and blaster ss coil and it ran good after that was installed!
