I have a set of 96 caprice iron lt1 heads off a 350. One was just recently sand blasted and cleaned the other is fine. Heads were taken off at 15,000 miles. Would like to trade for a set of aluminum heads. Will send pictures upon request. Heads are fully assembled with stock valves, studs and springs.

 

Am I asking for too much or is this a fair trade? Not sure what the iron heads go for.

 

Aluminum heads are worth more then iron. A straight up trade will be hard to pull off.

 

Well, maybe i'll get lucky and someone wants the irons I suppose. I know they flow better but im looking for a set of aluminums to port myself. Thanks. TTT.

Maybe someone will take them. Just letting you know that the iron holds more heat and weighs more, thats why people prefer the aluminum. Hope someone takes them off your hands though!

 

you're definitly will not get an even swap. No one will want iron heads. I suggest you put them on ebay and then buy a set of aluminum heads.
