OSW Street Nationals: Who's going?

Hey, who's going and what day? Thought maybe we could draft out there and then hog up a group space in the stands so we don't lose our spot everytime we've gotta "drop off a couple beers in the trough". Gotta Love the Trough--quite possibly the most ackward American experience, especially when the guy next to you wants to hold a conversation while he shakes his ***** , off topic sorry.

Anyone else? Man, I kinda expected this to be a popular post. Ken, I know you always go, I'll give you a call since you hardly ever post. What about Carter and all the other guys that used to be regular track-goers?

At Race Rock ... how many 8 second passes on street (ET Streets) tire did you see? You just gotta stand near the starting line and smell the gases and rubber and feel the ground vibrate to appreciate these rides. And most of them are by no means a street machine. Some are.

Cost to much. I can think of better things to spend $25 on. Gas for the car is one.

I would consider it, but $25, and probable unsafe track conditions allowing a 8 sec car go flying into the stands, killing people doesn't appeal to me either.

i was over at waterford, and it was doing that drizzle, where it gets the road wet but they still race cars, and where v6 f-bodies can lose the rearend slamming third gear. though mayb I should, I do at the moment have a recipricating saw, and some extension cords in my trunk, I am probabel better equiped then the saftey crews.

You guys don't have a clue as to how well they prep the track for the high speed cars and not T&T during the week when 200+ ricers and 15 second cars show up. And if you think those guys running those 8 second $100K cars run in a "mist" then you must be smoking. They certainly understand the risks of speed and horsepowermore than your 13-16 second rides. Since you're not really drag race fans then the $25 would definitely be a waste for you. But I'll bet you'll spend $15 to run your car on Runday Sunday or the nighttime grudge races (no timeslips). I understand money it tight but the show on Saturday is worth it if you lie drag racing and can appreciate the work in just getting this cars down the track on drag radials (some classes).
