1997 Camaro Z28 rear rotor going into caliper bracket Help!

On my 1997 Camaro Z28 the drivers side rotor going into caliper bracket .
It is also going to the pasanger side too.
But more so on the drivers side.

What the is causing this to happen.
And what is the fix?
My local dealer has not sean this problem before and has no TSB's on it.

Hope some body can shed some light on this problem.

Thanks,

Chris

The rotor is rubbing the mounting bracket? ... And its doing it on the passanger side. sounds like its axle related? your caliper mounting brackets aren't bent correct?

If your dealer can read a shop manual there is a fix for this problem.

GM makes a shim that goes on the axle. There are dimensions iin the shop manual.

Do a search under brake shim.

The rotor is rubbing the mounting bracket on both sides.
But for some reason more so in the driver side.
The mounting brackets are not bent either.
I think Z28barnett is right.
I read something about that when I did a search.
Do you have the TSB # for the shim fix?

Thanks,

Chris

Severous01 is right. You need to replace the axle c-clips.
Good luck trying to get the shims from GM, my local dealers
part guy said that there was no such thing so I made my own.

So how do you replace the C-clips.
This rear has 5 yellow springs in a cage.
I took the pin out then I took the springs out and can't get the cage out.
Once I get the cage out the C-clips should be in theresome where.
So how do you get the Cage out.

Thanks,
Chris
