Hi everyone. I currently have a TNT wet kit jetted at 250 on my car. The car runs great with this power level, but,(and there's always a but) i'm not satisfied with a 10.04. I would like to see at least a high 9 out of this car and have come up with no other option but to add more nitrous. The fuel system is not an issue since I have completely redone mine from cell to fuel rails. What settup would you recomend for a second kit and power level for each?I was thinking about adding a nitrous express wet kit w/fogger, and jetting it to 100 and backing off the tnt to 200.Am I on the right track?

Does your car have traction problems now on the 250 shot?

No,not at all. I spray straight off the line, off the trans-brake. I do however have just about everything done to the suspension that I can do. I have the drag launch spring kit(eibach), gms lca's,spohn "drag bar" sway bar, spohn ta,gms panhard bar,bmr k-member,kyb adj shocks,ce sfc's.best 60' to date is 1.36. Leaves straight, wheels up :D

I would say that if you have the fuel system, go for it... Just one question though.. Is your TNT kit maxed out at 250??? If you can spray more with it, I'd say put some 300 shot jets in it, and make a pass... If you're runnin 10.04 (or around that pretty consistently) that extra 50 would get you a high 9.

If you do plan on dual staging it adding the NX wet nozzle at 100 would work out fine... But if you do not have traction issues launching on the 250, then don't mess with lowering the jetting on the TNT kit. Jet the TNT at 250, and the NX at 50, or even 100 for that matter. Bring in the second stage whenever you want, I'd say after your first shift. Just be sure to flow your fuel pressure, and check your timing... But I'm sure you're already a pro at that.....

I'm sure that 9's are yours...

Good luck :)

If you are hooking up fine with the 250 shot and if it were my car, I would think about putting in a direct port setup that is capable of 300-400hp (or whatever you are looking for) rather than complicating things with a second stage, second set of solenoids to fail, and then worrying about distribution problems.

Thanks for all the advice guys. The TNT kit I have is maxed out at 250,so I was looking for the cheapest option (DP=$$$$).The car cut the best 60'ever this past sunday w/a 1.35,though it only ran 10.10 at 130mph. It does run 10.1 to 10.0 just about every pass (unless I screw up the shifts). The car has never been on a dyno to be tuned (Ed Wright mail tune now),and I think i'm going to do that first.I had the pleasure of meeting Alan Futral at the track this past sunday and I think i'm going to bring my car to his shop and see what else can be had (if any) out of this lil LT1.Anyway,thanks again, and i'll keep you guys posted on my progress.

Get some bigger solenoids for the kit then, bigger jets, and add a progressive controller (Jacobs or NOS). Less plumbing than a second kit, and LOTS more tuneable.
