Hey guys, I've got a bunch of white spots on the plastic on the front of my 1997 Camaro and I can't figure out what they are or how to get them off. I was wondering if any of you had had the same problem and was wondering what you did to get rid of them. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Is the car black and is it on the feders?

Yes, the car is black. Sorry, forgot to mention that. I've tried some rubbing compound, and it didn't really do much. I'm going to go get a different kind and see if it works better.

You could try a clay bar or some type of thinner.

Alright, what kind of thinner would you suggest using?

You could use regular paint thinner. Lacquer thinner works better but it's much stronger so be careful, and I wouldn't use either of these on anything but factory paint.
Even though thinner won't take the finish off, I'd try all the safer methods like clay and polishes first. Just use common sense, don't keep rubbing with thinner for a long time if the stuffs not coming off.
You'll probably have to wax and polish up the area when you're done too.
