Well, looks like the Austin area is getting emissions testing starting then. My inspection is due this month, so I have another year before I need to worry, but what are the chances that i'd pass my test next year (lets say i pass the visual) if I put egr and smog fittings on my long tubes and hook all that up, and put cats back on my car. My cam is a cc305. I'll def. have my car tuned by then also. And where can I get carsound cats at?

For Carsound cats, I got mine from performancepeddler on Ebay, about $55 shipped. The cam might actually help the emissions to an extent, I've heard. LT4 Corvettes did not even use the EGR system due to the increased overlap of the cam. Not sure if the 305 would have the same effect, but you never know.

That said, since you're OBDII, you will probably have to deal with emission codes thrown in the PCM. I can only speak from an OBDI perspective.

Good luck!
