Well, I think my slave cylinder is screwed (the clutch pedal keeps sticking to the floor on me and I can't shift)...It comes and goes, but it's getting more frequent, and with 60k on the odometer I figure it's about time for a clutch, anyway.
So I'm still trying to decide on which clutch to put in (centerforce or Z06 probably) and whether to just get the newer GM hydraulics or us get some aftermarket stuff...
BUT the big question is 'can I do this myself'...I've got got a lot of tools and I'm pretty handy, but I'm just wondering how hard this would be without a lift, etc and how easy it is to screw up. Just looking at the write-up on installuniversity to looks pretty straightforward, I just need a way to get the tranny up and down easily. So, how many of you guys have done this without a lift? How hard would you rate it? Is your clutch still alive? Just searching this board I've seen a few horror stories, but a lot of those looked like full race clutches, etc.
I think It'd be fun to do, I just don't want to destroy a $300-$700 clutch, etc.
