The rear end blew on my Jeep Cherokee and I need a new rear axle, I am looking for something as cheap as possible as long as it has good gears/bearings in it. I don't care if it is a Dana 35 or a Chrysler 8 1/4 as long as it will fit my Cherokee. I currently have 3.07 gears in the front and rear axle but right now I will accept anything just so I can drive to school. I have called everyplace trying to get gears to rebuild my rear end but the 3.07 gears are "dealer only" and the dealer wants $500 just for the ring and pinion!!!!!!!!!! Which is far out of my price range. Please let me know if anyone is parting out a Cherokee or knows of a cheap rear axle. I'm hoping to find one under $200.
Thanks guys.

you can try taylor auto salvage also, you will need to check the ratio, and pull it yourself, but they only charge $100 for a rear axle

How fast do you need the axle because I just bought a new rear-end for my XJ and won't need the D35 anymore but you probally need it right away.

Thanks dreamer1q for finding one, I have a lead on one that is a little closer to home, I hope it works, Grand Rapids is about a 5 hour drive round trip but if I can't find one I might have to drive out there.
