ok so as you all know i just got the camaro running again and i have a ses light on.
the car is very hard to start and runs poorly until its fully warmed up.
now it ran like this before too, also not sure if its related or not but the fans run all the time but only if the engines running, not with just the key on, weird.

the 1997 wiring harness has the 16 pin aldl and my car is a 1994 z28, anyway i can jump the pins to retrive the codes myself?

as always thank you in advanced on this.

Only a 1993 ECM can be scanned for codes by shorting the ALDL pins.

thats what i was afraid of, thank you for clarifying that for me.
so,, any ideas on what this might be? after she warms up it runs great, actually after like 10 mins it runs great but if i shut it off the try to restart it i still have to push on the accelerator a little.

very strange.

You'll need to scan it and see what the SES code is. It could be as simple as a temperature sensor.

well how come the haynes manual says that ALL obd1 cars can be scanned by jumping the aldl connector, whats different from 93-94?

93-

batch fire
speed density
removable prom
will flash codes with a paperclip

94-
sequential FI
Mass air
non-removable prom
needs an actual scanner

Andrew at AKM Electronics can hook you up:

You could also go to Shoebox's Tech Pages, and see how the 95's are wired, using a 16-pin ALDL connector with an OBD-I PCM:
