I don't want to sell it but I might have to. Just wondering how much you guys think I should ask for it and how much I could realistically get. It's hard to get an idea of the market for Trans Ams because you never see that many LS1 T/A's in the Buy n' Sell or Auto Trader.
My car is a 1999 Trans Am Convertible w/74,000 kms, 6-spd, leather, no accidents, stock except for a K&N filter and stock exhaust from a 2000 SS, warantee until 2006. I'm trying to decide whether I should put it up for sale now or wait until the spring/summer when people who want convertibles are looking for them.

It really depends on condition, looks etc. . . .maybe post a pic. 74k is a bit high but you will get atleast 20K - 25k provided there is nothing wrong with it. Everyone wants a WS6.

I have one crappy picture and another one where you can barely see it (because it's tucked in behind an SS :D)... http://www.sfu.ca/~sstasiuk/TA.jpg and http://www.sfu.ca/~sstasiuk/oct82004-1.jpg
That ugly extra weather stripping and those chrome strips around the wheelwells have served their purpose well; no dings from people ramming their doors into it anywhere.
I could always advertise it in the paper or some for some stupidly high asking price right now and see if anyone shows any interest and then get serious and put it in the autotrader and buy n' sell in the spring if it's still around, I guess. *sigh* I really don't want to get rid of this car; my first V8. :(

before you sell get rid of those ugly strips, my formula has no protection and ive never had any dings from parking lots.
id put it up for 22-25k and see what you get, the m6 and droptop are desireable options but the color may not be. in the end your car is only worth what someone is willign to pay for it, lol.
EDIT: oh its silver, i thought it was pewter

Oops I see its not a ws6 ,probably 17K - 21K would be my best guess than. Silver is a pretty kewl color.

Sell it if you have to but you'd get more consumer interest closer to summer. Hard to estimate your car by 2 pics but I'd say ask 25 and take 20 g's. How much did you pay and when did you buy it? Back in 99 a new one went for a little over 35 g's. Driving it for 5 years and getting 20 g's is only 3 grand a year depriciation. Not bad for cruising a new bird but if I was you I'd reconsider. Post a price a maybe someone on the board will buy it? :cz28:
