Is the pte88 too big for a 383 lt1...im going with a forged crank...billet rods...ross turbo pistons...does anyone have anymore info on a setup like this? when would it come into max boost..(.96 a/r) any pics of it?..is it a t4 or t6 flange..i plan on buying the turbo from forcedinductions.com tomorrow...it came out to 1510 out the door..which is excellent. any info would be very helpful

Jose is the man to talk to. If he told you a PT88 is what you need, then I'd trust him.

If it helps at all when I talked to Turbonetics they told me that their T-76 is on the small side for my LT1, do-able, but not ideal. We'll see what the dyno says.

I doubt a PT-88 would pose much of a problem. INTMD8 on this board was running a single 80 on a 355 LT1 and didn't have much lag, even though he was running a large A/R ratio (1.1?). Not to mention he was pushing over 750rwhp with that setup under 20psi. A 88 with a .96 on a 383 would probably spool pretty fast and give you a good wide powerband with a strong top end. Like has been said though, i'd talk to Jose. IIRC, he's running a 88 on a 383.

Not a prob man. I am using one on a 355 LT1 with .96 A/R and 4" down pipe.

The 88 is just fine on a 383. If a 76 is what you wanted, the only model I would choose would be the 76GTS. The S-trim wheel is the only wheel that doesn't cause a huge amount of backpressure on these larger motors at higher boost levels. The 88 is an excellent choice though....
