Formula vs. Mustang

Well I raced an early-mid 90's Mustang GT convertable earlier(from a stop). Not sure what he had done cause I did'nt ask him, but def. exhaust. Well anyways you probably know what happened next. As soon as I got traction and went full throttle I continued to walk away until I braked. It was'nt a long race so I only had 1-2 car lengths on him- but fun non-the-less! Sorry if I bored you with another Mustang GT story!

Re: Formula vs. Mustang

Where in South Jersey are you located. If you want to meet up for a run that would be cool because whenever I race LT1's its usually a good race. Right now I'm 1-1-1. I beat a 95 Trans Am from a roll surprisingly. I lost to an 96 SS but not by much, but he wasn't the best driver. I ran even with a 96 Z28. So if your located close and up for a run that would be cool. Do you ever go to 37?

Re: Formula vs. Mustang

Yes it's a GTS with a 5.0. The last year for the 5.0. It's a stripped down version of a GT making it lighter and therefore faster. It's got V6 seats and no spoiler. Also stuff like manual door locks. You know all the little things that add up to extra weight. However, you can order a GTS with every option which is weird. So basically a GT but a little lighter and faster.

I've never heard of 37. Where is it located? I'm in Erial (Camden County). That would be cool to meet up somewhere & race.

Re: Formula vs. Mustang

Do you know where the Ocean County Mall is? Or where Sea Side Bridge? It's exit 82 on the park way. A lot of people meet up at White Castle on Friday and Saturday nights. I don't go that often, only once and a while because there is a lot of cops. But, its a decent place to just meet up and talk about cars. It's not as popular right now obviously because of the weather. However, in the summer there are sooo many cars out there just cruising. It's pretty cool. I honestly think it is nearly impossible to cruise up and down Route 37 about 2 or 3 times on a Friday or Saturday night and not come upon someone willing to race in the warmer months.

I have no idea where those places are. Are you in North Jersey? How far are you from Philadelphia? I'm about 20min.

Re: Formula vs. Mustang

Well, I'm about an hour from Philly. Have you ever heard of Toms River. Like I said it's exit 82 on the New Jersey Park Way if you are familar with the parkway. Just try going to mapquest and putting in your address and than Route 37 and see what happens. It's a pretty cool place you should check it out in the spring when this bitter cold weather breaks.
