O2 Sensor Placement - Turbo

I've heard that it doesn't matter if you put the O2 sensor before or after the turbo. I'm planning on doing mine after the turbo. My question is does it matter how much past the turbo it is? What I've seen from pictures is within 6" or so of the turbo. I was planning on putting mine about 18" past the turbo. It has an easier fitment there, but will it cause problems with proper readings??? Thanks guys.

BAsed on my experience of placeing them in kinda the stock location in the rear of the engine compartment, I would advise placing them closer to the turbo. I had a hard time staying in closed loop, as I don't think the O2's stayed hot enough even with the heaters. I will probably be moving mine closer to the turbo's.

If I remember correct your running a wideband. Place it 6" in the downpipe. Make sure you mounted it in somewhat of an upright position to keep moisture from collecting on it when storing it in the winter.

Yeah, I'm running an Accel wideband. 6" might be a little tight, but I'll see if it'll fit in there. Thanks for the advice.
