Is there a good guide for camaro upper ball joint replacements? ive read around and saw a few sites... just wanna know 100% before hand. a couple of buddies gonna help me. Pictures would be spectacular! THANKS!

Pictures would be spectacular! THANKS! Z28barnett 12-18-2004, 11:26 AM I would buy the whole upper arm, it comes with ball joint and new bushings. Rust is a real problem with the upper arm. The ball joint is riveted into the arm and has to be drilled out. If you can do the swap with the arm on the car, the balljoint only might be the way to go. If you have to pull the arm off, replace it. Z28 LandryP 12-19-2004, 01:37 PM What year Camaro? Since you said upper I asume its not a third gen, but anyway be carefull when working near those front coil springs OBE1 95Z28 12-20-2004, 08:52 PM The upper ball joint is very straight forward, drill out the rivets on the old ones and bolt in the new ones. The ball joints will come with general instructions to show orientation and new hardware to bolt them in. I recommend a set of Moog ball joints. I got mine from Summit Racing. Probably a good time to inspect you upper bushings; if they are shot, you're going to need to remove the upper arm to replace them. | ||
