Can anyone give me a site for LS1 brake upgrade?
I'm getting ready to put 18's on...paint my calipers....and was wondering if upgrading to 98 newer brakes would be a benefit for me....are they better? in what ways....and will they work on my car
an install site would be great if you guys have one
how much of a difference are we talking about b/t the two brake setups in terms of stopping diff etc..

They're better. Not aftermarket better, but noticeably better than the previous 4 wheel disc. Upgrading the fronts only or at least first is advised. I've managed to warp my fronts but never had problems with the back.
You can get a used setup from here

As the site says, you'll have to get new brake lines too, which means you'll have to bleed the system when you're done, not really that hard if you have a bleeder kit.
And the fronts are the primary improvement, they use a dual piston caliper with a larger rotor, whereas the backs are only slightly better.
If you know how to change your pads without messing anything up you should be able to do this. You might have to take the rotors in to get turned or you could always buy new ones if you want.

when you guys say i need new brake lines....you are suggesting that i get just stock whatever year brake kit i get at like autozone brake lines....or do i need some other kind of brake line......and are you talking about the line that comes off the caliper or the steel ines that lead all the way to the master cylinder
btw...i don't need to change master cyclinders or anything else right???
one more question maybe you guys can answer...i'm looking at doing lowering springs while i'm in there i only want a one inch drop...what springs truly give you only one inch (due to my GFX) and i dont' want to be hitting the bump stops all the time so which ones are the best for me...this is a daily driver
i'm have second thoughts as to whether to just buy new rotors for my stock brake setup to save money but i really want the ls1 kit....i get tired of my rotors jumping up and down all the time even after no time of getting them turned.....i take it it's b/c the brakes on our cars just can't give us the stop power we need....b/c i dont' even drag or anything now....and they still warp
