just wondering after that thread, how we got into he old lt-1 vs the ls-1 battle again who outta' our crew who here has the fastest lt-1 and ls-1 car? for ls-1 i think it's chris isnt it? but no idea for lt-1 j/w and matt no rants this time :p just playin bud :D

When Rickerby (I say when... not if :D ) gets all his pieces together, his LT1 will rule us all locally. Thats got to be hands down. :bow: Unless bunker and musky got some secrets coming out...

I guess for LS1s it will be Perry and I, depending on how his cam and shot go. I think we're both mid to low 12s now (which isn't any screaming heck yet). I would like to be solidly in 11s this spring NA, and then better that with some boost - but for the latter I have no schedule when that will occur.

We'll see if Amit get serious with some heads added onto that cam ;). Is Draco running a shot with his cam still? If so, that's gotta be considered.

Either way, I'm guessing I better get some track time this year and make my mark...

I won't be top dog, but I should have my act together by the start of the season. List of crap to do:
install 30lb injectors
install rear Hals (better cure the wheel hop or I'm selling this POS)
mount 28" slicks
get a decent tune
maybe a 3.5inch aluminum drive shaft (not likely though)

and finally a 5000rpm clutch dump.

I should try and figure out how to lower the weight from 3850 but who knows how I will do that without spending big money or stripping the car?

Final goal...Solid 12's!

You bet! I did get to run Sonny a few times though at TnT, which was good. His 500+ vs my 340rwhp. I think I was within a tenth or two of his times...

Sonny is proof that it doesn't just take a fast car to win. With more driving experience that car could be in the 10's

On a side note my only loss this year was to Kelly's Cobra which makes 440+rwhp and runs low 12's. Damn Cobra's and their boost!!

I can drive real good but I never do with my car because I baby between shifts cuz I've actually got enough power to either break the tires loose while shifting like a mad man or break something else and I aint got money to be fixing, just modding some more :)

looking for low 13's haha Firehawks run low 13's straight from SLP but that aint nothing to brag about. We all crave more power I'm sure. Automatics do have an edge out of the hole but I like 6-speed manual and would rather have a better overall handling car than a drag car. LS1's have great highway passing power over 100mph but an 11 or 12 time slip is what most of us are looking for. There's a couple of long nice stretches on 97C (Merrit/Kelowna) where you can bury the needle. I didn't quite get there but hit 245kph, I'll use a videocam next summer when I shoot for 260. :eek:

Your not kidding there. The best stretch is right at the Km marker "Kelowna 54" to go. Probably the safest stretch in lower BC for a top speed test. :cool:

Actually there are two runs that start downhill, go straight for about 2'k's then back uphill. Anywhere in the lower mainland would be risking death at these speeds. :death: Beware, smokies set radar there on a regular basis. :alert:

Andy I too have a drive line that consists of a Moser 12 bolt, alluminum shortened DS, control arms and all that junk, not to mention my baer brakes, list goes on, I look at that as strengthners, my favourite is engine mods.

I am going to try and make it up this year.

IF the track stick's this time I am looking for low 11s high tens N/A....

i went 11.31@125 on a 100 shot this year with #7 dead.now i got a forged 383 and jumping to a 250 shot.my wifes 99ss vert went 13.08@109 lid gears and tires. wifes parents live in rainier they own the equestrine center so i go to the coast often. give some info when you'll all be out and i'll try to make it.
