Coolant fitting near siamesed exhaust ports

I have a set of aftermarket heads that have what looks like a provision for a coolant fitting just above the middle siamesed exhaust ports (i.e. cylinders 3&5 and 4&6). Right now it's capped off with a plug. I figure getting extra cooling on the paired exhaust ports is probably a good thing, so I want to use it if it's useful. What do you guys think?

If I wanted to use it, where would I plumb a line to? It's for an LT1 so it's reverse cooled if that matters.

Yeah that coolant line is to help cool off the heads in SBC/LT1 setup since it's an extremely hot spot in the heads. It's a old trick that's used on GM 23 and 18 deg heads.

You would plumb a line from the top of the water pump where it enters the block out to there on each head. Usually it's a small AN like 4.
