MustangEater82 12-07-2004, 08:22 AM Using 1/4 mile and mph ----> dyno number calculators they all pretty much said I made 240 hp... Bottles are for babies....real men get blown! - Justin 94Camaro 02-16-2005, 01:00 PM lol. yea well. the "bottle" is a interim fix ;) anyway. i just love that my aluminum head 3.4 RWD Camaro has as much hp and 20 more tq than a 3.8 :-D and the pieces i put on the car are modified in no way ;) still cast and imperfect like they came from the factory.. o wait..i dont have that stuff anymore, i have the 3400 stuff..thats right heheh.. everyone always scoffs at that fact. course im sure that my MAC torque arm and SPEC Stage 3 clutch help lay some power down ;) NOS2006 02-16-2005, 01:33 PM I hate NOS... its so fake... Let the bashing begin... :D Oh, dude, I totally thought you were talking about me haha. On the other board I frequent, my nickname is NOS. So when I saw that, I was like, "Why bash me!" haha MustangEater82 02-16-2005, 01:45 PM ehh hp or whatever... in the ned what really matters is what you put down that the track... :) 94Camaro 02-16-2005, 01:49 PM lol. yea i need to work on launching some. i still have a problem with spinning when i launch. i might have a lead on some 2002 SS wheels (chrome) with drag raidals! :-D those should help me get sticky ;) JJayzX 02-16-2005, 02:13 PM hopefully what you put down on the track when you use nos is smoke and burnt rubber and not parts of your motor. 94Camaro 02-16-2005, 02:20 PM yup. atl2001 02-17-2005, 11:08 AM russell , did you ever get that car to the track? how did it run long time no see, good to see ya around (and forget the SS crome wheels, they are heavy... ) (no my hybrid motor isnt much closer to being done, however im graduating in may :) ) 94Camaro 02-17-2005, 12:54 PM lol. thats ok. and honestly im not looking for top speed. i really just wanna build a car thats customized totally. one that i can say is fully mine :) to date i dont know anyone thats done what i did mostly cause when they hear i had to change pistons they are like uh...nm. lol. cool that you are graduating -- congrats! and no i havent gotten it to the track, i will after i get the power steering pump fixed, and the drag radials in my posession (and hopefully i wont @#$ up my tranny :-p 245lb ft is a lot to put thru a tranny only rated for 230. ;) wish me luck on that one lol) NOS2006 02-17-2005, 01:05 PM 245lb ft is a lot to put thru a tranny only rated for 230. ;) wish me luck on that one lol) Damn, what tranny is that?! 94Camaro 02-17-2005, 01:33 PM actually, the T5. the stock T5 found in the 1993-1995 3.4L F-Body is only rated at 230lb ft of torque according to Tremecs Website. I pulled this info from Tremecs Website (Borg Warner stopped making the T5 and tremec bought the design for those of you that are going to say -- but wait, my tranny is a BW... your tranny is a BW..and the replacement now would be a Tremec) here are the specs: Part Number 1352-000-247 Weight 75/34.0 (lbs/kg) Torque Cap. 175-230/ 237-312 (lbs-ft/N-m) GVW/GCW 5,500/2,495 (lbs/kg) Gear Ratio Chart 1st 3.75 2nd 2.19 3rd 1.41 4th 1.00 5th 0.72 6th N/A Rev 3.53 atl2001 02-17-2005, 11:14 PM to date i dont know anyone thats done what i did mostly cause when they hear i had to change pistons they are like uh...nm. lol. thats because there arent many people really is all that serious about making their 3.4L hella fast (personally i have a set of forged pistons for a set of GEN III heads 2 feet away :D ) LWillmann 02-18-2005, 10:13 AM Wife's 2001 V6 M5 car put down 172 RWHP with a whisper lid, K&N filter, CAI (in front of radiator), 3" Flowmaster muffler (all other exhaust stock). I've got a set of CIA headers I'm going to get recoated and installed and we'll see what we get from there. 94Camaro 02-18-2005, 01:41 PM yanno what really sucks. (i noticed in your sig you have the DIS-4) i could never get my DIS 4 working. it stutters and crap. when i went to PAW to try exchanging it, they actually let me hook it up to my car (i just plugged in the box), it did the same exact thing. i get a stutter at like 4500 rpm, and when i adjust the rev limit settings, the stutter comes down to like 2600 rpm. so... drop me a line via email maybe you could tell me how you have yours setup so i could get this damn thing working so its not just a pretty red box in my engine bay. thanks. 12secondv6 02-19-2005, 05:58 PM ehh hp or whatever... in the ned what really matters is what you put down that the track... :) VERY true! :p | ||
