spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 09:14 AM So I posted this in an Orlando forum but I haven't gotten any responses, so i figured i'd try here..sorry mod's in advance if i'm not supposed to post here
So I'm planning on moving into a house at the end of next year, when my apartment lease runs out.
I am trying to find at least 2 people who are looking into moving out in the future, around that time. I have not found a place yet but I thought it would be better to find people and get to know them better before I get my hopes up for a house and not find anyone.
Hopefully they will put their 2 cents in on a house, or if they are familiar with renting to own, or starting out with it, i have no experience in it.
So if there is anyone interested let me know. Like I said i'm just looking for someone wanting to move out around September of next year.
No preference as to sex or anything like that. As long as you are not a massive pig, lol i've heard horror stories about that.
I'm mainly looking for a home in the UCF area because i like living near there and it is close to my school too..scc...
If anyone knows of houses/areas let me know too..
TIA
-Amanda
P.S. I would be the coolest roommate ever, hahahahaha
MustangEater82 12-03-2004, 09:47 AM Good way to find some places for rent, drive down Curry ford between alafaya and Dean, couple housing complexes, with ltos of houses to rent. I always had projects out there with classmates and my boss rented a house out there too. Nice area and you coudl get 3 and 4 bedrooms for $1k-1,400. So it was so bad.
Just drive up into neighborhoods near UCF, another good place to check is behind UCF, drive down Mculloch and take a right lots of neighborhoods back there knew a few people that have rented back there as well.
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 09:57 AM yeah that's what i was going to do was just drive around till i found a sign, got the number and called the people, lol..
actually i might look in the areas down lockwood too...
there are some nice townhouses down mcculluch when you turn right at the end of it..not sure what road that is...
but i wanna find a couple of people who wanna move before i even bother looking, only because i won't be able to afford it by myself. Plus this way i have a few other people helping me out too..
mainly ucf area, or 10 minutes from it..either down alafaya, either way, mcculluch, or lockwood
NaughtyInTheZ 12-03-2004, 10:43 AM My lease ends either at the end of next August or September (I'm not sure, I'll have to check). I would prefer to live alone but I don't think the folks are gonna like that. I'd be less interested in living with more than one person, because as I posted earlier--I HATE PEOPLE! I'm an obsessive neat freak so that doesn't help either. :(

spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 10:46 AM Aww, well I'm not a neat freak, but since i live alone it's hard to be, lol..
I think when i live with other people i'd do better..
I don't mind mowing the yard and stuff, and if i have a dishwasher that'd be even better..
I can't cook, lol a lot at least or i'd make dinners and stuff..
where do you live now, perhaps if you live close to your parents they won't mind it so much?;)
all my folks live out of state and my dad said it'd be cheaper to live in a house with roomies than alone paying 500 a mth on alafaya, which where i'm at now is a very good price..
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 11:00 AM I lived in a 4 bedroom house w/3 other guys for a couple years....not only was it dirt cheap, but it was plain dirty...guess thats what happens when you put 4 college guys into a house. You get to do all the things your parents never let you do in your own house....its kind of like Disney World for older kids. Oh the memories of that house...some of you have partaken in them.
That being said, I no longer live in that house...I live in an immaculate house in waterford with one other person, I managed to grow up a little bit....i know, pretty lame.
Anyhow, I highly reccomed for anybody in college to live in a house w/a couple other people...you'll definitely have some good times that you'll never let go. Plus, its cheap as hell and you never have to worry about finding a parking spot...thats what the front yard is for.
spongebobrulz 12-07-2004, 11:09 PM Bump...
So i'm still looking..posted on roommates.com, of course most of them are people looking for roommates...i guess i shoulda put that i already have a place and am looking..of course that would be lying..i would like to get people before i get a house.

There is still one year left. I'm not even sure what the hell I'm gonna do once I move out of my appartment. I know I have 13K saved up for a down payment on a house or condo, but not sure If I'm gonna use it just yet.
spongebobrulz 12-08-2004, 04:29 PM yes it is still a year away, but i have to get some money saved up...plus i would like to get to know the people i might move in with, plus it takes some planning, i don't want to rush into anything crazy. Plus since it's a little after school starts, this way anyone looking to move out can plan on something..*shrug* i thought it was a good idea

I never said it was a good idea, you just seemed to kinda be stressed or lost hope with so much timeleft.
spongebobrulz 12-09-2004, 06:07 AM uh no, that's the problem with these things
