anasazi 12-02-2004, 11:38 PM they're busy? did you even ask to see if they were busy?
rokudan 12-03-2004, 12:26 AM I'll take ya out.. Plan on me picking you up at 7pm... ;)
MustangEater82 12-03-2004, 12:56 AM SPo0ngebob was better then I expected(I watch the show but wasn't expecting much from the movie)
Incredibles is pretty good, keeps adults entertained not so kidsy... I also like National Treasure, I haven't seen Alexander but I have heard mixed reviews about it. Some love it some thought it sucked ass. I heard good things about Finding Neverland.
As for tomorrow, I am pleased to say we are the only theatre in the area playing "Fade to Black" the Jay Z movie so the hardcore thugs will likely be out full force this weekend. Closer is coming out I don't know much but I hear Natalie Portman is nude in it :metal: and I have no clue about "I am david"
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 07:05 AM they're busy? did you even ask to see if they were busy?
no but they know i don't have to work tomorrow and didn't ask me to do anything so i figured they were just too busy
anasazi 12-03-2004, 08:19 AM no but they know i don't have to work tomorrow and didn't ask me to do anything so i figured they were just too busy
maybe thats because they have work today?
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 09:00 AM maybe thats because they have work today?
yeah i know that but they're not working all day :P
stupid school computer isn't letting me use smileys..
wow all of these people on here and no one knows what's going on tonight...
get to write my business plan today, that'll take up some time..i don't wanna do it but it was due last monday, lol..
i have no clue where to start, any help would be nice
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 09:23 AM What class is the business plan for? I could probbably point you in the right direction if need be...done enough of those for capstone and other classes lately.

spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 09:25 AM small business management...
so it has to have everything...i have a few sites to help, looked up some others...but i haven't found one with a format for one..i know what has to be in it, but is it supposed to look like a regular paper or is it supposed to be labeled?
luckily i have my income statement proforma for another class, using the same business and financial stuff for this class, so i had the prof send me the file so i can just use and rearrange it..
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 09:30 AM It shouldn't look like a regular paper...
There should be labeled sections to it.
If your instructor hasn't given you a format to put it in, or there isn't a format to copy in any of your texts, then I would just make up your own format that covers the necessary points. Sounds good to me????
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 09:34 AM ok good, that's what i started doing...
I noticed that a lot of what is needed in each section seems to be the same thing...that's annoying, so i'm bsing a lot..i hate writing papers like this.
has to be 10 pgs long but i think that includes all proformas and stuff, so...
do you happen to have a copy of one you did and got a good grade on you could email me? don't worry i won't steal it, i'm doing this on my stepbro's business, if i get a good grade i'll give it to him so he can use.
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 09:35 AM lol, yeah he hasn't really covered anything on the plan, just what's supposed to be there, it's kind of annoying.
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 09:40 AM I don't have anything concrete to look at...I reformated my computer a couple weeks ago and lost the majority of my documents (not smart enough to have 'em saved on CD). The only strategic plan I have is the one we did on Sears for capstone...but that is in the form of a powerpoint presentation, and is really tailored to the specifics that the capstone instructor wants...it probably wouldn't be of much use....sorry.
Everything else is unfortunately stuck inside my brain....lol.
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 09:44 AM hahahaha...well thank you anyways...
So you think i should just lable the page with the main heading, or should i use subheadings for each detail?
make it kind of like an outline.
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 09:50 AM I would use subheadings...but don't go crazy w/them.
Yes, think of it as an outline. This document that you are creating is supposed to give the reader insight to your business plan. By making it sort of line an outline, you are making it very easy to follow rather than just doing a 10 page paper. You're not really "dumbing it down" by putting it in outline form, you're just making it easier to follow and express your ideas in the appropriate section.
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 09:58 AM ok, the prof said it just had to be 10 pages..so instead of writing out an essay i should just write out bulletted points?
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 10:03 AM No...
I would make a Bold Heading for each section of the paper...
Under each heading, I would have a couple bullet points.
Under each bullet point, I would try to write anywhere from a couple sentences to a paragraph.
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 10:05 AM oohh ok, how i have it now i'm writing an essay, i'll change that...thanks..
lol when i get home from another class, i'll start that and prolly post up some more questions..hopefully you're on..
so you going for business admin too or something else?
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 10:15 AM Yeah, I'm in the college of Business....General Managment Major. At least for 1 more week, then I'm outa here. UCF = U Can Finish :D
If I'm not on here, just send me an IM....I'm perpetually signed on to AIM.
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 10:16 AM hahahahaha so it is true:)
yeah i'm going to SCC so it's prolly not as hard..some may think it's demeaning to go to a community college, i don't care what school it is, as long as it's not too expensive and i get a degree, lol...at least the profs can take time to help you...
so are you going to actually open up your own business or are you going to manage a previously owned?
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 10:20 AM Thats a great question...still trying to figure it out. I have a couple different available options right now, but I think I'm leaning towards working for myself. I have some bigger plans down the road, but do not have the financial backing or the experience right now to pull them off. A couple years down the line that will be another story.
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 10:22 AM yeah, some owners keep their other jobs while they run their own business..if it's small enough and you have the time and people to do it that'd be a good idea..that way you can put that money in savings after you pay things off...
perhaps you should run it through excel and find out when you'd break even..or did you do your business as one of your business plans?
DanBUCF 12-03-2004, 10:26 AM Its not really a matter of breaking even as much as it is having the experience before I start messing w/my own money instead of somebody elses....
And its also a matter of NO income for the first few months...there really isn't that much of a financial outlay. Just gotta find a way to pay all the bills while I get everything off the ground.
spongebobrulz 12-03-2004, 10:29 AM that's why you should keep the job you have, while you're setting it up..
if you have a job that you can work nights, at least you'd be getting some income..
and it might be a good idea to get a loan, maybe there's one that you don't have to start paying it off for a while..
a lot of people use credit cards and stuff like that to start too, according to my teacher, lol there's some out there with 0% for like a year or so on transferred balances..
you just have to think to yourself whether you wanna be broke for a while i suppose, lol
