I just bought my 96 camaro v6 5speed, 110k on her, the mileage im getting seems to be pretty shabby, ummm im not use to driving a manual , is there any special tricks i should be aware of when driving it? and what could i replace to help my mileage, my air filter was dirty as hell so i changed it! help me please, im new to the camaro scene

It would help if you posted what the mileage is! Do a standard tune up, plugs, filters, wires, etc. Run some injector cleaner though it. And/or run or have someone run a diagnostic on it. Replacing the CAT probably wouldn't hurt.
When driving "short shift", i.e. shift at lower rpm's and drive in the next higher gear.

Also check your tire pressures and make sure they are good... under inflated tires can cost you mileage and tire life.

Winding out the gears off stop lights eats gas big time.
My 3800 averages around 280 miles to a tank normally around town, I have on ocasion gone as much as 315-320 but that's REALLY pushing it!
Milage is somewhere in the area of :
17 is my worst in the winter
21-22 is my normal driving around town
23-25 moderate highway driving
28-32 has been my best on long trips
