Last October I sold my 98 Dodge Ram and bought THIS (http://re.smugmug.com/photos/10591691-M.jpg) trashed 94 Z28 for almost nothing. With help and parts from many of you I built THIS (http://re.smugmug.com/photos/10591686-M.jpg)! The rims, hood, Borla exhaust, SS spoiler, heads, cam, and half the interior were bought from members of this forum.

I want to thank you all because although I know I could have done it alone, you all made it a lot easier with your advise and abundant left over parts. At this point my project is basically done, it's been on the rode since June and fully done (as far as the wife thinks anyway  ) for a little over a month now. She runs like a top and gave me no trouble on a recent trip to Georgia.

Now I'm building a project for the wife, it's a 79 Vette. While I'm not crazy about vettes. I'm a car guy, and a project is more about the challenge of the build than the end product. Besides, it's gonna get an injected Lt1.

There are more pics of the Vette and the Camaro HERE (http://re.smugmug.com/).

Thanx

It looks good and real clean too. You had better have someone photoshop some z28 emblems on that car or SS owners are gonna come out of the wood work b!tching about it. I thought about putting some SS emblem's on my car. They look a whole lot better than the z28 emblems. Also for some reason people always think the SS is faster. Just a few weeks ago some guy told me my car was nice and probably pretty fast, but his buddy's bone stock SS would kill me. It runs a 12.5 in the 1/4 bone stock.
Sorry for my rant, but the car looks good.

You made that transformation incredible. Completely night and day. It looks very very good. If you don't mind me asking what was the total cost of the project including buying the car originally. Thanks.

Very nice! I'm planning on doing something like that with a car after college.

Can't wait until you get that Vette done.

Your tellin me! Until the old owner saw the frame connectors he welded in, he thought I used the car for parts.

The cost including the original purchase price, everything to fix (the right rear 1/4 was hurt bad) and paint it, and all mods in my sig (even the uninstalled stuff) was about 10k. I could have fixed the car and driven a puke green (the original color) Z28 for about 5k. The main reason I went this route is that M6 T-top cars are gold around here.

Check THIS (http://www.3rdgendecals.com/CustomerPics/Barry1.jpg) out! These are the stripes that I'm installing this winter.

That is an awsome car! Do you have any pics of the engine bay and interior? The 10k price tag, is that with you doing all the work or is that paying someone?

You had better have someone photoshop some z28 emblems on that car or SS owners are gonna come out of the wood work b!tching about it.

I was going to b!tch but then I saw the spoiler so I don't care anymore. But still a great job! Can't wait to see the vette.

That is with me doing all the work. I bought a lot of big money item like the SS rims/tires, Loyd Elliot heads, Headers, Borla, Hood, Interior, etc. I even painted it in my garage. The engine compartment is the only part not painted, it will be done when the head/cam swap gets done this winter.
