Today has been a bowl of cherries! I took my Explorer to the Ford dealership because my "check engine" light was on and they ran the diagnostic for $70...then wanted me to pay $417 to fix what was wrong. Luckily it's all stuff Mike can do for me. :)
Then I had to go to Winter Park to get a prescription from my doctor because they never returned my phone call yesterday (that I left at 9:30am). They told me they mailed the prescription because they couldn't get in touch with me. Ummm I left my phone number on the message and I never got a "missed call" or voicemail. So they really didn't even call me at all. Hopefully they send me the right prescription.
So then I had noticed that Ford left their special key tag on my keys and it says there's a reward if found. I took Univ. to Goldenrod to cut over to 50. I was in the left lane when I went past SAM'S and this lady was crossing the road to get into my lane...(didn't even check to see if anyone was to the right of me) I naturally went right and she hit my car anyway but since I moved, the person behind us didn't hit us. Well I pulled all the way over the right and into the little shopping strip. She, on the other hand, proceeded to drive to the turn lane and onto 50. I quickly spotted her car and followed her a couple miles up 50 by the Maryland Chicken place. Meanwhile I'm on the phone with FHP and they aren't being helpful. I keep honking at her and she doesn't get it....but when she grew some brains she cut over to the right to pull over and at the same time pulled in front of another car, almost causing another accident! So we get out and I'm like "What the hell? You just leave the scene of an accident?" It was this lady (66 yrs old) and she was freaking out. I told her we had to go back to SAM'S but she didn't want to because she had meat in her car and it needed to be put in the fridge. She wanted me to follow her to her house in Waterford and then drive back to SAM's. I told her "no way" and she called her husband to come meet us there with some coolers. She tells me this is the first day she'd driven in 6 months because she's been in Rhode Island (left her freaking brain there too).
So on the way back to SAM's she almost gets in a couple other accidents... While we wait for FHP, she won't stop talking to me! Non-stop blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. She was trying to be really nice and offer me some food but I just wanted her to shut the hell up. That was almost worse than the accident. She also told me that when she hit me, she thought there would be damage to her car, but not mine. Ummm what if she had injured me??? She ended up getting a ticket for not yielding but nothing for leaving the scene because she came back...AFTER I CHASED HER! Then she was trying to get me to come over to her house so she could bake something for me. WTF? BTW, my car is only scratched up and I don't see any dents...but hers had a big ouchie. Yay for SUVs! (She had a Lumina).
Then I went back to Ford and they offered me $2 for the key tag...and I took it!!!! :D
I also live in River Park Apts and haven't had many problems for a whole year but now I hate it with a passion. There's trash everywhere...and I mean BIG trash, like gutters and huge nails, painting paper and food containers. This is all stuff that you wouldn't just miss if you were employed to pick up trash. So I was walking my puppy and I felt something in my shoe...it turned out to be a roofing screw stuck in the bottom of my shoe. I took it up to the office to complain and they said they know about all the debris lying around (and one girl had to get a shot cuz the screw went in her foot) and they're "doing their best." I told them about all the trash and that I'm sick of looking at it. A service guy also left my door unlocked when he came in last week. I wasn't happy with their answers so I spent the next 20 mins picking up the trash. Y'all wouldn't believe the crap I picked up. I took it up to the office and showed them the big screws and some weird metal thing I found...and then took one girl out to my truck to see all the other crap.
The back of my truck was full of metal siding and gutters and a really long 2 x 4. She kept saying it was the workers fault and that our maintenence isn't supposed to pick up trash. Well the workers don't speak English and don't pick it up. So if River Park won't pick it up and the workers won't pick it up...who picks it up? That's right, ME ME ME!! Then the chick went inside and didn't send anyone out to help me unload the crap from my car and into the dumpster. All I can do, according to her, is write a letter. Yeah, I'll write the letter but then I'm gonna use it to wrap up some of those metal screws and shove them up her hiney!
Someone please send a little sunshine my way!!!
