Now that I have Long Tubes on the car, I no longer have any use for this.
Anyhow, its the SLP Y-Pipe 2 and 1/2" diameter. Fits 2000- 2002 F-Bodys.
Been sitting in my garage for a month now.
First $100 takes it off my hands.

Would much prefer to sell it to somebody local, don't wanna deal w/shipping.

If it fit my manifolds I'd probably take it off your hands. Do you still have your manifolds?
Did you notice any gains from it?

I have my stock manifolds...but I'm looking to hold onto them In case for some reason I ever decide to put them back on.
I'm not sure if it will fit your car though...I'm guessing the difference in exhaust manifolds is why they have a different y-pipe for 2000 and up.

Yeah I know it wont fit my car without the '00-up manifolds. Thats why I was asking! :p :D

I believe the only difference is that the 00+ Y-pipe is bolted to the cats instead of welded. The 98-99 cars dont have flanges for removeable cats. the 00+ pipe can be welded directley to the 98 cats, but if the cats ever go bad, break out the sawzall. :D

Hey Dan do you still have the y-pipe? If so I might be interested, you'll never guess why ;)!

Definitely still sitting in my garage begging to go onto a car.
By the way, that was me that pulled up behind you today in your neighborhood in the white SS.

How has the white car been running? I remember you brought it to sonic once.

I thought it might be. So you have two cars? Unfortunately, the car I was looking at looks like too much work. I'll be out today finally finishing you know what so if you see me drop by and I'll tell you about it.

2 cars yes, but not 2 F-bodys. The white one is my dad's...they're on vacation right now and I was over at his house yesterday checking up on things, so I decided to swap cars for the afternoon. It was a nice day for a convertible yesterday.

how does the y-pipe help for sound? Is it louder? and this off road or on road?
might be good on my 2000 SS

On Road y-pipe. Bolts up to the factory cats.
It definitely changes the exhaust sound. It deepens the sound a bit, and makes it sound a little louder.
When I had the y-pipe with the loudmout on the car, I compared it to a car with just a loudmouth and factory y-pipe, and there was a significant difference in sound.
Let me know if you are interested. I was going to give it to my dad to put on his car, but apparently it won't fit on convertible cars.

I may go with that... no changes on 02 sensors? on side is bolt on so that means welding on the other end?

No welding required whatsoever...both sides bolt on...no changes to 02 sensors or anything like that. Should take all of 5 minutes to put on.
