How much weight will I be saving from stock hood vs. fiberglass.

Im gonna get one of the fiberglass U.S. Exotic hoods next year and was just wondering if I would be saving any weight.

I weighed my stock hood, and the stock fiberglass SS hood and they weighed the same, within 1/2 pound.

I'm not sure about other fiberglass hoods though.

Yes, it depends on the type of hood. As stated OEM type composite hoods are not much lighter, if at all. However fiberglass "racing" hoods can be much light, but require special mounting. Perimeter Dzues fasteners or hood pins.

umm i think my stock hood vs my FFI fiberglass hood was only about 4lbs difference if i recall
